Ankara 2 in 1 Brooch and Hair pin!

Happy Birthday Ms Hoy!!!
August has being a month filled with travelling and relocating from on point to another and its being such fun all the way. So sorry I have being M.I.A for the past 3 weeks or more. Today, I had to make a birthday gift to a wonderful woman Ms. Hoy and I have nothing but scraps of fabric to help me out, which is why this lovely Ankara 2 in 1 flower brooch or hair pin came up.

Here is how to make your special Ankara 2 in 1 flower brooch or hair pin.

Step 1-4:

Materials: Fabric, scissors, brooch pin, hair pin, glue, glitter glue, acrylic stone,
artificial leaves and petals.
Cut out a long stripe of fabric.
Fold the fabric over each other to form a triangle to give you a perfect square or just cut out the size of square you want.
Cut out five equal squares.

Step 5-8:
Fold each of the squares just as in the picture below until you have a little right-angled triangle

Step 9-12

Using a zig-zag scissors, cut out an arc from your triangle and you can as well make a contour to give the petals more allure.
Open each of the petal up and lay over each other to know which is bigger.
Then using a needle and thread, neatly tack the folded triangle into place one after the other over each other.
After this, open it up gently.

Step 13-16:

You should have something like what we have below here.
Cut out a little piece from your fabric and glue on your artificial leaves.
Place each leaf diagonally over the other.
Step 17-20:

Now glue on the fabric gently over the leaves.
Then, glue on one large and small artificial petal on the fabric.
Finish it off with another little fabric cut out in the shape of a petal using your zig-zag scissors.
Step 21-24:

Open up the centre of the flower and glue on your acrylic stone.
Cover the edges of the stone with your glitter glue to give it a shimmering effect.
Allow to stand for a while to dry.
When dry, turn upside and glue on your brooch pin and the hair pin. Remember to cover up the hair pin by simply cutting a little fabric and placing it over the side of the hair pin you have glued down for support.
Now you can wear it as you like and take photos .
Step 25-28:

Show Off!!!!!

  18. Many wear designer outfits are being worn with heavy embroidery and colored embellishments stitched onto the materials. Bridal jewelry sets are worn to match each outfit. Brides look resplendent in their Indian bridal wear though all the pet houses jewelry worn is not necessarily pure gold.
